Anjani Khanna

Anjani Khanna is a ceramic sculptor, curator, and writer. She is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics, Geneva. Anjani is on the curatorial team of the Indian Ceramics Triennale and is also Co-Founder and Director of the Contemporary Clay Foundation. Anjani put together an informal group - Mumbai Potters, in the late 1990s and co founded the Studio Potters' Market held annually in collaboration with the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival.
Anjani studied ceramics with Ray Meeker at the Golden Bridge Pottery in Pondicherry. Recipient of a Senior Fellowship from the Government of India, Anjani also has grants from the India Foundation for the Arts and has received a NCECA Multicultural Fellowship. She is an Arthink South Asia Fellow and was seconded to the British Ceramics Biennial as an observer. She has been artist-in-residence in the US, Europe, Australia, China and in India. Her work has been exhibited in India and internationally. She has a degree in Natural Science from the University of Cambridge, UK. She makes figurative sculpture in her studio Alibag, across the Mumbai Harbour.
